Digital Imaging Pioneer Fujifilm Introduces Five New Cameras in U.S. Market
Additions to digital camera line-up offer appeal for every consumer

(Press Release)
Thursday, July 29, 2004

Fuji Photo Film U.S.A., Inc., a pioneer in digital imaging technology, today announced the addition of five new consumer digital cameras to its award-winning offerings. The company's robust line ranges from point-and-shoot simplicity in its A-series to streamlined style in its F-series, and includes a traditional 35mm-style body with a wide range of shooting features for photo enthusiasts in its S-series. Today's additions include three cameras in a new fourth category, the highly versatile E-series, as well as replacements for two popular S-series models.
The Fujifilm FinePix E-series includes the E500, E510 and E550 models. Perfect for use in families with multiple photographers, for consumers who are interested in growing their photography skills and for photo hobbyists looking for a powerful feature set in a compact body, the new FinePix E500, E510 and E550 models combine the best of point-and-shoot ease with Fujifilm's trusted image quality. The E-series units join the company's popular A-, F- and S-series consumer digital cameras, making a total of 14 products available to consumers over a wide range of form factors, feature sets and price points.

"Our consumer digital camera line focuses on providing brilliant, best-possible image quality using Fujifilm's unique imaging legacy in both analog and advanced digital technologies," said Walter Haug, Vice President, Consumer Products, Photo Imaging Division, Fuji Photo Film U.S.A., Inc. "Our commitment to quality, and to our consumers, is evident in the caliber of our cameras, while our new line ensures that we offer a true range of choices available to digital photographers of every skill and interest level. We're pleased to continue our tradition of providing best-quality digital imaging products to our consumers with the FinePix E-series and the new S-series models."

New Models
The new FinePix S3100 will replace the best-selling FinePix S3000, while the new FinePix S5100 will replace the company's popular FinePix S5000. The FinePix E550 offers Fujifilm's proprietary Super CCD HR (High Resolution) sensor to capture 6.3 million effective pixels - and the ability to take images of up to 4048 x3040 recorded pixels (12.3 million).
